About Us

As an institution of higher learning we are conscious of our responsibilities towards society and the stake holders, by facilitating the acumen of our human resource to guide our villagers to use the available resources for their economic growth. With this in the backdrop, the college has decided to adopt one village for a period of 3 years and then choose the second village for another 3 years.
The college plans handholding of villagers in following areas:

• Encourage the children of underprivileged families to pursue education by providing them the books, stationary items etc
• Arrange the visit of the village children to the college campus to inspire them to pursue education seriously, and objectively. Have some children based movies played in the college for them.
• Arrange for the visit of the Apiculturist and mushroom cultivation specialist from Department of Agriculture for guidance to villagers to take up these practices.
• Look for the horticulturist to guide the cultivation of temperate fruit trees, like cherry, walnut, apricot etc.
• Arrange for the visit of the Health workers / Doctor for health related awareness of villagers.

  ESATBLISHMENT OF MEDICINAL PLANT REPOSITRY

  To specialize as a college with signature in the area of collection and cultivation of medicinal plants, as directed by Commissioner / Secretary to Govt, HED J&K, the college has decided to establish a repository of the temperate medicinal plants in the adopted village in collaboration with the Botany Department of BGSBS University Rajouri.
